Class Details

Be prepared to get wet! First class on Wednesday, May 27th is dedicated to practicing wet exits and getting back into your kayak on Lake Union. Thursday we practice boat control. Saturday is rescues and strokes before meeting at Deception Pass to learn how to handle manageable currents on Sunday. Dry suits provided and required. Must be 18 years old for the Sunday day trip. Students provide: 1. Transportation to and from Deception Pass on Sunday. Option to arrange carpools within class. 2. Synthetic, quick drying clothing to wear under the dry suit and glasses retainers (we have some available for purchase in-store). Hat and sunglasses are also recommended. 3. Enthusiasm to learn!
