Kayak Delivery and Pickup in Washington

Applies to kayaks purchased from us only. Whether you pick it up at the shop or have us bring it to you, we'll make sure it's set up right and you feel confident heading out for your first paddle. 

We do not offer standard kayak delivery. See the Outside Washington section for more information.

In-Store Pickup

  • We'll help you load your kayak and look over your rack setup

  • Can answer any last questions before you head home

Local Delivery - Seattle and Nearby Neighborhoods

  • Free on kayak purchases over $2,000

  • $75 delivery fee on kayak purchases under $2,000

  • Must be within approximately 15 miles of the shop 

  • Scheduled after purchase

Regional Delivery - Edmonds, Eastside, and Tacoma Area

  • Free on kayak purchases over $3,000

  • $125 flat delivery fee under $3,000

  • Within approximately 30 miles of the shop

  • Scheduled after purchase

Ferry Routes - Bainbridge, Whidbey, Vashon

  • Flat $250 delivery fee

  • Availability varies by season and peak summer dates may be limited

  • Scheduled after purchase

San Juan Islands

  • Flat $450 delivery fee (includes ferry cost)

  • Available primarily during off peak months

  • Summer availability may be limited

  • Scheduled after purchase

Outside Washington

We do not offer standard kayak shipping. Kayaks are long, light and easy to damage, and general LTL freight handles them badly. We release kayaks only to KAS Transport, or to AML and other Seattle-area freight forwarders for delivery to Alaska. We do not release kayaks to other carriers.

  • Contact us before purchasing to confirm we can accommodate your arrangement

  • Customers arrange and pay for transport directly with the carrier

  • Allow several weeks to a couple of months, depending on KAS's routes and availability. Confirm pricing and timing with KAS before you buy

  • We package your kayak in bubble wrap and cardboard at no charge

  • For a transport quote, add 8" to length, 4" to width, 2" to depth, and 5-10 lbs (depending on kayak length) to the kayak's listed dimensions
