Drysuit & Wetsuit Rentals

Northwest Outdoor Center in Seattle offers drysuit and wetsuit rentals year-round for paddle sports such as kayaking, canoeing, or rafting. PFDs and helmets may be available as well. All rentals subject to availability.

We also sell new wetsuits and used/new drysuits in store and online. Check out our online store or used kayaks and gear page for up to date inventory.

Try Before You Buy

Drysuits are an essential piece of safety equipment for kayaking in the Pacific Northwest where the water temps remain cold year round. Renting one allows you to test fit, comfort, and layering before purchasing. Drysuits vary in sizing and trying one out on the water often is the best way to determine what works for you.

If you decide to purchase a dry suit from NWOC after renting, we apply up to $99 of your rental cost towards the purchase of a new suit. Credit must be used within 30 days of a drysuit rental.

  • Credit may be applied towards purchase of a new dry suit priced at $999 or higher

  • One rental credit may be applied per dry suit purchase

Drysuit Rental

Kokatat front entry drysuits. Latex wrist and neck seals with dry socks and relief zipper. We recommend dressing for the water temperature with synthetic or wool base layers under the suit. Neoprene booties included and must be worn over dry socks while wearing the suit.

$60 for a full day

Wetsuit Rental

Farmer John or Jane style wetsuits from NRS and Deep Sea. Front zip, 3mm neoprene. 

$20 for 24 hours 

$30 for a weekend

$50 for a week.

Requires $75 damage deposit. Neoprene booties included.

  • If gear is damaged or lost customer must pay for repair/replacement.​

  • ​A full day rental requires drop off the day after pick up (for example, picking the suit(s) up Friday morning and returning to us before close on Saturday).

  • A weekend rental would be pickup Friday and return Sunday or the next day we are open Mon/Wed.
